Melanie,
It's been a great year of training and my '06 racing season has finally come to a close. I'm enjoying a little off time and by next week I will begin laying the foundation for next year.

Do you have any suggestions about the best way to drop body fat so that I can make next year even faster?

sorry, there was a problem with my last post...

I believe that most of the time excess body fat is a product of diet rather than exercise levels. Everyone has ingrained habits that may be inhibiting their ability to get to the weight they want to be at.

I think the best strategy is to have your overall diet analysed by a dietician or a naturopath. Take a four day food log into their office and ask how you could be better. You will be amazed at what you are really eating.

Once you have a strategy for how to improve your diet, all that is necessary is some commitment and willpower. If you maintain good habits over the long term, you should achieve your body weight goals. Nothing happens overnight, so commit yourself for a long time and it will no longer seem like you have to focus on it anymore.
