Tires 6 Months, 3 Weeks ago Karma: 0
Hi Melanie

What tires would you suggest to ride with on wet trails with a lot of roots?

What tires would you ride with on The Hammerfest trails in Parksville when it is wet?

Thanks

Pascale

I think the Maxxis Ignitor is a good tire for the wet roots around here and have ridden that one with lots of success. They make both a 1.9 and a 2.1 so if you are not looking for good rolling speed (the 2.1 is very wide and knobby) go for the 2.1 Ignitor for lots of confidence.

I am riding the Monorail right now, testing it for wet conditions. I think it is a reasonable climbing tire but the jury is out on whether it is fast or not. So far I really like it and may think it is better than Larson. We will have to see.
