Mel,
You may find this funny,or disgusting However, I hope you can learn from it and use it to get through the stuff in life that holds ya back from winning. Even if that only person you need to beat is your self.

I enjoyed your emotional rescue scream \"I hate Swimming\" Getting that off your chest. I can relate to what your feeling even though I am not swimming, right now.

Its the frustrating parts of life that I hate, I have gotten through and conquered some life threatening problems and lived with dozens of people who had life threatening problems and habits.

It was frustrating for me because I lost so much time stuck in a rut. If I had one or two suportive people around me instead of the people who kicked me when I was down such as former employers and Former family memebers I could have gotten further. It was frustrating to live with people who had life threatening problems when I had a few of my own. I don\'t know which would have been better, I managed to be released from bondage.

Here I am ready to embrace the world and battle those who love to see ya fail and kick ya when your down.

I thought of inviting anyone who has an issue against me to the ufc octagon and let them have a go at me. There are only a few folks I disappointed that i know. This may clear up their issues and I can move on with my life.

I am not in jail right now. I am greatful for those who decided that I can be successful. I have always believed in myself regardless of those who fail to see my talents and my drive to be successful in a humble manor.

Hi Galen,

You are correct... however, to fast track some fitness, I had to get focused for a month.

I will go back to five swims after this race in Sea Otter, however, that is still more than double what I did last year.

Staying focused on \"I want to swim better rather than relying on my other strengths\" is the point of the points!

You need to get back in the pool! Dad needs to stay a honch ex honch swimmer... - melanie

quality vs time

Hey Mel,

Great to read updates from the feild!
I had no idea so much swim hate raged in you! The point system looks modivating, I wonder, though if more points should go to quality/effort/speed... I might be old school, but I believe pounding the milage doesn\'t always make for faster competition times. In swimming, it\'s stroke count and efficiancy. This, I think, can be achieved in less than 5 QUALITY swims per week.
Fun-Up the swims, they don\'t have to be soggy arm slapping maintenace...

My gills are drying - can\'t wait to hit the pool on a regular basis soon.

Happy Training!
