Xterra World Champion Melanie McQuaid Signs With BMC BicyclesMarch 6, 2007 -- Press Release: BMC, the leading innovative high-end bike manufacturer based in Grenchen, Switzerland, has signed a contract to provide Melanie McQuaid with bicycles through 2008, expanding their presence in the triathlon and mountain bike world. Melanie McQuaid, of Victoria, British Columbia CA, won her third Xterra World Championship title last October in Maui, capping a dominating year where she won the US Championships, the Overall US Championships series and the World Championships. “Looking at my race schedule for 2007 and beyond, it is exciting to work with a company as committed to exceptional performance as I am”, said Melanie McQuaid. “I know that the folks at BMC and the bikes they produce offer me an edge during the riding portion of my events.
