http://www.specialized.com

Starting in 2009 I will be riding the carbon beauties crafted by Specialized.  In particular, I will ride the Era, Ruby and Transition for most races this season.  I am super excited that in a year where I have goals that run the gamut from mountain biking, to XTERRA to 70.3.. I will have the best machine regardless of venue, as will our whole MelRad Racing Team.

This season AVIA will be supplying me with race flats designed specifically for whatever race I choose.  If it is an XTERRA, I am running in the Avi-Stoltz.  For 70.3, I have the AVI-Bolt.  In between, there are many well designed but not overbuilt shoes to help push my training forward at all time.  Check out the cool lineup for yourself at their website!

The great thing about Sundog sunglasses is how they just keep getting better through innovation and attention to detail. With some secret styles in the works I am sure to look much cooler than I really am. Go to the website to see what cool new shades they are rolling out. It is all about the lens.  Thanks to Sundog I will look and see better at all times.

Profile Design
www.profile-design.com

Adding a lot of light but strong carbon components to an already very light mountain bike always equates to speed. I am excited to be rocking the Profile Design by Aquaman wetsuit. Profile design has been committed to speed in triathlon for a long time and it is apparent in the quality of all of their products.
Titec
www.titec.com

In addition to my Profile Design road components, I will be riding Titec carbon mountainbike bars, stems and seatposts. The Hellbent bar is my secret weapon in sketchy singletrack.  Titec makes the strongest and lightest components you can ride in XTERRA.
Shimano

If you are looking for a bomb proof, long lasting, perfect shifting, and gorgeous looking group or wheel set, go get Shimano Dura Ace or XTR. I am excited to be outfitted by Shimano from top to bottom and look forward to another great season trusting their components to go the distance.

Maxxis
www.maxxis.com

Back this season to help me keep the rubber side down is Maxxis Tires. For road and mountain bike racing, there is a tire for any condition. No one makes tires that hug the ground like these guys. If you want to ride fast and keep it upright, choose this brand.
Cycleops
www.cycleops.com

Saris manufactures the wireless Powertap wheel, an indispensable tool for measuring your training effort on the bike. This wheel allows you to objectively evaluate cycling efforts, which I find to be the secret to improvement in fitness. Especially if you have limited time, ensuring all of your efforts are at the correct intensity is important, so look into having one of these wheels in your arsenal. And now, mountain bike wheels have been added to the mix.

www.usana.com

Usana helps me to stay healthy with the insane schedule I keep. In addition to vitamins (I use the Healthpak 100 and Proflavinol) I can trust, Usana also provide me with skin care products that have no added chemicals that I feel good about using daily. The Sense Perfecting Essence is my FAVORITE product. Given my exposure to sunlight, ladies... we need nice products and Usana offers a full complement.

www.pactimo.com

This year I will again be sporting a brand new custom designed outfit. Complete with nods to the Canadian champs and my previous World titles I am really looking forward to wearing these beautiful suits during the season. With a pedigree of professional cycling success, Pactimo has effectively embraced the multisport needs and is making comfortable and competitive triathlon gear. Along with myself, Pactimo will make the goods for the entire squad of MelRad Racing.

www.gusports.com

Hydration and on the bike fuelling will again be taken care of by Gu. Nothing like a tasty treat while at maximum gas. The newest cool thing are the Chomps to keep you powered up while racing. Mmmmm, Gu candy-like treats!

Just in case you choose a REALLY bad line, a Big Air can save the day. Quick shot of air into a tubeless tire can save a complete change and if a complete change is the only option, might as well keep it under 2 minutes with a blast from a Big Air cannister. The back up plan for when your skills let you down

www.albabici.com

New this year is Albabici Cycling Products, a company procuring all things fantastic and Italian. In particular, I will be jetting worldwide with the Sci Con Atlas bike case, which is the most elegant and fabulous way for your bike to travel. Add to that the ease of packing and you have the most amazing bike travel case imaginable. Sweet.

The guys at Procity keep my bikes in top condition.  Without Troy the wizard to fix all the things I screw up I would be lost.  Stop in for a coffee or to check out all the cool stuff at 338 Catherine Street in Victoria, BC.  Tell Bill I am way cooler than he is!
