This is a shoutout to all of my poor friends stuck in central Canada under 50 centimeters of new snow.

Luckily only a few spring flowers are visible at this time of the year because otherwise, the mix of green and bright spring yellow and purple would be truly blinding .

Yes, smugness over the weather is a prerequisite for living on the Westcoast of Canada.

Enjoy... this is a crap video we took with my camera on a ride this past weekend. Victoria is the best!

The top section of "Fun Trail"

You need to a flashplayer enabled browser to view this YouTube video

Another section... both of which are much scarier from the top looking down:

And Ross, riding a section while I took a crappy video, with his wrecked shoulder but still having fun:

How often does stopping to take video of how cool the terrain you are training on happen in road triathlon? Reason # 8,456 why I think XTERRA is so much cooler than Ironman or ITU. Sorry SQW... it is the truth...although both Ross and I still think you are awesome.

The Shiver....
written by melanie, March 10, 2008
I have the Silver and White Shiver in a size 18". You just need to bug Zach to order it for you... the blue and white one is pretty awesome and that is the one on display with my photo at Frostbike. Really it is a tossup of which one is better, the silver and white one just matched the quiver of other BMC hotness better.

Ross says his Fourstroke 02 is the best bike he has ever owned. And will continue to say that up until he gets his carbon Fourstroke 01 this year. And he has all the choice in the world... although he tends to lean towards Mel specific sponsors smilies/wink.gif in support of his woman.

I also have taken a photo with the Powertap and placed it in the 2008 equipment gallery in the Photo Gallery.

Hope you get one!!

If you don't, the bonus of the Fourstroke is it is a bit lighter. I just find the fit of the Shiver is nicer.
The shiver

So I have been to the Bikers Edge in Kaysville and The Conteder in SLC, Utah and both shops said they are not going to order the shiver. If I want one they will order it for me, but how do I know if I want one if I haven't even seen it in person. I don't even know how much it will cost. I am so bummed they are not going to get the bike in their shops. They are getting the four stroke though. Anyways I can't tell is your shiver blue and white or red and white? When will you post pictures of the new bike on your equipment list for 2008? Does Ross get hooked up because of you or do he have to purchase his bike? Oh and by the way Utah has gotten hammered this year with snow and we have way more then 50 centimeters, try 6 foot banks on my front lawn in Ogden ( which is melting quickly these days).

Love your articles and keep up the training.

Heather
